Substance Belly Jelly
Stretch marks can be a growing concern! Substance Belly Jelly will intensely moisturize that growing belly. Made in Canada by Matter Company, Belly Jelly is full of oils high in vitamin E to increase the skin’s elasticity, allowing it to stretch with your growing belly. Rich in shea butter, oats, lavender and a special blend of essential oils helps to nurture the skin to add that extra ounce of prevention.
Women often find that their belly becomes very itchy and dry during the thrid trimester when most of the stretching typically happens. Keeping your belly moisturized during pregnancy can help prevent stretch marks and will keep you more comfortable. Many of our customers tell us that they use Substance Belly Jelly all over their body and on their dry spots to keep everything soft and supple. It's also great to use as a perineum massage oil when preparing for birth and later can also be used to massage your baby all over.

Can stretch marks be prevented? Stretch marks can be hereditary; however, women in their second trimester often get symptoms of itchy belly (very dry skin), due to the stretching of the growing belly. It will begin to crack, which can be a precursor to stretch marks. The best way to avoid stretch marks, is by taking preventative steps. One of these steps is to ensure that the skin remains elastic through intense moisturizing. The best time to start moisturizing the skin is at the very beginning of pregnancy. Daily applications are highly encouraged. Along with this preventative measure, it is also recommended to drink lots of water and other liquids to encourage the skinâs elasticity to increase its pliability.
